WORK WITH ME

Hi! I'm Erin Clarkson, and I'm a freelance travel blogger and photographer.

I specialize in writing about travel destinations throughout the Southeast portion of the United States, with a strong focus on the Lowcountry (coastal South Carolina and Georgia) and nearby mountain escapes.

Although I write primarily from the perspective of a solo female traveler, I also share multi-generational travel tips and destination ideas. Since my travels frequently include my mom and 21-year-old daughter, I make a concentrated effort to include safety information and mobility tips in each of my destination guides.

I prefer to showcase an area's lesser-known attractions, and those hidden gems are the ones readers usually enjoy hearing about most. If there's an off-the-beaten-path spot to be discovered, you can bet I'll find it and write about it! I also promote ethical tourism.

BRAND WORK & COLLABORATIONS

I'm truly grateful for the experience I've gained by collaborating with the incredible brands listed above. I worked in print publications for 10+ years — so I can research and write with the best of 'em!

In addition to my print publication experience, I've also contributed to numerous online travel sites as a local expert. I authored the Savannah First-Timer's Guide, and I'm a current member of The Authors Guild.

HOW I CAN HELP YOU

I always enjoy introducing my readers to relevant products and unique travel destinations! If you represent a brand that you feel would be a good fit for this blog's audience, please email me to discuss current opportunities. Here are a few key takeaways you can expect from a collaboration…

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

BEAUTIFUL IMAGERY

I've won awards for my photos and even had my own recurring photography column with a national publication for two years. I'm happy to discuss photo usage rights if your brand is in need of imagery for social media.

PROFESSIONAL WRITING

I have 10+ years experience as a writer and contributing editor for Meredith Corporation under the Better Homes and Gardens brand. I'm accustomed to working under the pressure of tight deadlines and producing print quality work.

AUTHENTICITY

I'm a "slow traveler" and prefer immersing myself in a destination; I often won't write about a city until I've visited it multiple times and have a good feel for it. My readers trust me to provide quality, in-depth information to help plan their travels.

samples & results

I get it…ROI is a key factor. I work in marketing, so I know it's important to show tangible results from a campaign! I'm transparent about reporting results so you'll have numbers to share with your team.

Here's a sample campaign report so you'll know what to expect at the end of a collaboration. Stats are presented in an easy-to-read PDF.

I often recommend vacation home rentals in my travel posts. Here are some of the results from those recommendations.

You may be wondering if readers book hotels based on my recommendations? They do! Here are a few examples.
