It's Fitspo Friday! I live for the weekend, so Friday is always the happiest of days around our house. Are you ready for some inspiration to motivate you to eat right and get some exercise this weekend?
I post this image weekly as a reminder that this is a place for positive and healthy inspiration. I try not to promote images that are unrealistic or that would require surgery to achieve. Fitness is all about consistently eating right, working out, and — most importantly — feeling and being healthy!

Since it's the beginning of a new year, I'm posting an old standby as my favorite workout of the week. That's right, the dreaded plank is back! I actually love to plank, because…well — I guess I'm weird. 🙂 It's a fantastic way to get definition in your abs, particularly around the ribcage area. Here's a great diagram demonstrating the proper form:
I see too many people clasping their hands together when they plank, so try not to do that. I created a 30-day plank challenge, so if anyone wants to do it with me then feel free to follow along! Your abs should be much stronger by the end of the month. 🙂 You can literally roll out of bed in the morning and do this before you technically “get up”. The first few weeks it will take less than 2 minutes of your morning, then you'll work up to a 5-minute plank. The secret to surviving the plank is to make sure you have good music to listen to while you're doing it. (And you can scroll through Fitspo Friday posts for added motivation!)
