We're vacationing on Hilton Head Island this week and having a blast, so I thought I'd share a peek at some of the good times from our trip so far! Our family has belonged to a timeshare on the island for 20 years+, so we've been vacationing here for a long time. It's a beautiful place.
We've spent lots of time on the beach and even more by the pool. We've done some shopping. And we've eaten lots of yummy seafood and splurged on delicious desserts. Pop Pop turned 74! (Happy Birthday, Pops!)
We went fishing and caught baby sharks. We've seen beautiful sunsets and discovered lots of pretty seashells while strolling on the beach. We watch fireworks every night. Nothing beats the beach!

Hilton Head Island: Where to Stay
Sea Pines Resort – Ranked #1 on TripAdvisor, Sea Pines is truly a beautiful resort. Employees have that Southern hospitality thing down-pat and the views of the red & white striped lighthouse are incredible. Golf enthusiasts will love the adjoining Harbour Town Golf Course. Rooms here are spacious and luxurious, and the property has a gated entry to maintain privacy.
Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort – This location is ideal for families, because there are activities planned throughout the day to keep the kids busy (the majority are free). The resort is centrally located on the island (near Shelter Cove) and is a great place to catch fireworks shows over the water, learn to kayak, or watch boats heading in & out for the day. The many hammocks strung from oak trees dripping with Spanish Moss make an ideal spot for guests to rest.
Omni Hilton Head Island – This resort is oceanfront and in a great central location on the island. There are multiple pool options on site if you tire of the ocean (one is adults only). Just outside the resort you'll find numerous biking trails shaded with tall pine trees — perfect for afternoon bike rides. This resort implements “quiet time” after 10 p.m. to make guests stay more pleasant.
