It's time for another style crush post! If I could pick one celebrity who does the jeans + neutrals look exceedingly well, it would be Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. I just love how casual and understated she looks when she's out running errands or wandering through the airport. Some models look lazy when they do the “off duty” look, but not Rosie!

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley Style Tips

She's sporting her white top + blue jeans + tan shoes look in these pics. I'm a big fan of the casual side braid with the boyfriend jeans and the crop top. Those sandals by Stuart Weitzman are one of my favorites I've ever owned! The nude color goes great with so many outfits. (Here's an inexpensive alternative from Steve Madden — although it isn't as comfy.) Rosie seems to like hats and is often seen wearing them.
I can appreciate that she's discovered a signature look that works well for her and that she sticks to it. The Paige black cropped skinny jeans paired with a neutral shoe, shirt, and purse make a good “uniform” for dashing through the airport or running errands. (I imagine it cuts down on packing time when your wardrobe is full of neutral items that pair well with one another.) Seeing her in that hat makes me want one for myself.
See what I mean about having a signature look? The first two shots basically show the same outfit, but one is styled for warm weather and the other for cold. In the cold weather version, she swapped out the heels for a pair of booties to keep her feet warmer and added a leather jacket. The white shirt, black jeans, and dark glasses remain the same. She even kept the green purse, but swapped it out for one in leather instead of suede!
This is a girl who has clearly found what works for her and sticks to a formula. You can even tell by peeking into her closet that she has a very specific “look”:
Booties, neutral outfits, and colorful hats…that's the Rosie Huntington-Whiteley way. 🙂 (Photo source and more of her closet photos here.)
This is one of her easiest looks to copy. It's very figure flattering to pair solid black jeans with black booties because it lengthens the appearance of your legs. Heels work, too, but booties are better because there won't be any skin showing to break the solid line. Add a neutral shirt, then top it off with a black jacket.
To steal her style would be fairly easy. I'd suggest lots of distressed skinny jeans in black, white, and grey from Paige Denim, plus a good pair of denim boyfriend jeans like this perfect pair from Current/Elliott. (H&M also makes a great option for under $50.) Add in a few versatile tops in neutral tones, like these from Ragdoll LA: Grey Cashmere Sweater & Vintage Mesh Tee in Bone.
For accessories, she tends to be fairly brand-loyal and sticks to a lot of Saint Laurent and Givenchy for bags. For booties, she often reaches for Giuseppe Zanotti (I love this particular pair!) and Alaia. The majority of her hats seem to be from Maison Michel.
Expect another Rosie Huntington-Whiteley style crush post in the future so I an share some of her best red carpet looks. She's had some stunners!
