I've been watching makeup tutorials for years, but there are a few YouTubers I really love and can't miss. Anytime one of these girls has a new video out, I stop everything to go watch it! Obviously my favorites are girls with similar skin tones and eye color to mine, so please don't get upset over any lack of diversity here. I follow a LOT chof YouTubers, but these are my personal favorites because they have features similar to mine and have helped me develop my look. Here are my current Top 5 YouTube Beauty Gurus:

Chloe Morello
I love watching Chloe because I probably relate to her personality the most. She's funny and very goofy, which makes her videos fun to watch. Plus, she has an Australian accent that's very easy to listen to if you watch a lot of videos in a row. Chloe is really good at creating natural and achievable makeup looks, and she keeps it real. Carli Bybel
Carli's makeup is always perfect and she's just frickin' bomb. She applies makeup perfectly every time she does a video and it's like an art form. Her skin is flawless and she's flawless. She partnered with BH Cosmetics to make one of my favorite eyeshadow palettes (the Carli Bybel palette, seriously — go buy it!), which I write about in my post The Best Neutral Eyeshadow Palettes for Beginners. Follow on Instagram here. Subscribe to Carli's YouTube channel here.

Cosmo by Haley
Haley was one of the top finalists in the recent 2016 NYX Face Awards, which is a huge honor. She has really pretty light blue eyes that are shaped really cool for doing all kinds of unique and colorful looks. She can pull off almost any color or look! I also like that she's close to my age and she focuses on her career. She'll make funny comments about how she doesn't have time for boys because she has videos to shoot or work to be done. Pixiwoo
Pixiwoo was the very first beauty YouTube channel I ever discovered and subscribed to, so it will always rank high on my list. I've learned so much from these girls! I lined my eyes with green liner and wore frosted pink lipstick before they taught me how to wear makeup the right way. They have a wide variety of videos and the British accent is always fun to listen to! Subscribe to the Pixiwoo YouTube channel here.

Melissa Alatorre
Melissa's eyes are very similar in color and shape to mine, so I really enjoy watching her videos for eye makeup inspiration. Her instructions are really thorough when she's applying makeup and she makes it easy to follow along. Her “Quick Tip Tuesday” series is a great way to learn new makeup hacks.
