My eyes are my favorite feature, so I love experimenting with makeup that highlights them. Today I thought I'd share a makeup look where I really concentrated on making my eyes pop! What do you think; do they stand out?
To get this look, the first thing I did was to add Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion in the original formula to my lids. Next, I added neutral shadows from the Urban Decay ‘Naked2' Palette kit. To highlight the inner corners of my eyes and look more refreshed, I added my favorite light and shimmery color from ColourPop.
Next, I tightlined my eyes with liquid liner in black to really make them stand out, and I added a cat eye. [You can see my eye shadow placement diagram guide on this post and learn more about tightlining.] To maximize the eye-opening effect, I added a coat of mascara to the top and bottom lashes.
TIP:When applying mascara, start at the base of your lashes and slightly wiggle the wand back-and-forth as you move towards the tips in order to get really good coverage.
Finally, I added Anastasia Beverly Hills ‘Dipbrow Pomade' Waterproof Brow Color in “Soft Brown” to fill in my brows, and I set them with a clear gel. I think it's important to frame your eyes by making your brows look really amazing, so I always spend an extra minute or two filling and shaping them.
For the rest of my face, I only used sunscreen, blush, and a bit of powder to set the look. I added a berry colored lip stain to finish off the look.
These photos are from earlier in the summer, before I dyed my hair the darker brown color. I haven't gone back to blonde, but I'm sure I will at some point since I love experimenting with my hair so much.
Have a great week!
