Hi there! We're Erin and Daisy, and we're a mother/daughter duo. We started Sand Sun & Messy Buns as a place to showcase the hairstyles Daisy created for prom and homecoming, but it's evolved into so much more! We enjoy motivating others and providing tips for developing greater confidence so you can focus on living a positive and healthy lifestyle.
Beauty is only skin deep; good character and a kind heart are better than any makeup you can apply. Click To Tweet
A Little About Us:
We both love the laid-back vibe of summertime and live for the days when we're sitting on a beach with our toes in the sand and hair tied up in messy buns. [That's how our site's name came about!] We're obsessed with Taylor Swift, Lana Del Rey, Friends, freckles, being positive, and spending time with friends and family.
I'm currently in my freshman year of college, where I'm studying Fashion Design. I'm passionate about makeup, hair, shopping, and designing my own clothes! I love going thrifting and I usually alter items I find so they reflect my personality. My favorite class in high school was AP Fashion Design, and I even sewed my own prom dress. I'm also the proud owner of a 2-year-old female veiled chameleon, so you may see her pop up in a post or two. Here are a few of my most popular posts:
- The Top 10 Do's & Don'ts for Teen Skin
- The Best Neutral Eyeshadow Palettes for Beginners
- How to Master the Natural Makeup Look
- Dance Hair: Messy Bun and Braid Tutorial
- Flat Hair Fix: How to Boost Hair Volume (one of my first posts I ever wrote!)
I'm passionate about good skincare, fitness, anti-aging tips, and I enjoy traveling as often as possible. I used to work for a few national publications, so if you're the crafty type and think we look familiar, you may have seen us in the pages of scrapbook and craft magazines. Here are a few of my popular posts:
