Every now and then I discover a new makeup brand that I absolutely fall in love with, and that happened this week with Charlotte Tilbury. I love the gold tones of the packaging and the way everything looks so glam and Old World Hollywood. It makes me think of the days of Marilyn Monroe and all the old movie screen sirens.
Of course, it helps that I took this picture right as the sun was setting so it had a warm glow to it!

Doesn't it look like it came straight off an old movie set?! It would've been perfect in the Gatsby movie.
Anyway, I just want to buy everything Charlotte Tilbury because it's so pretty, so I thought I'd share a couple of pictures. 🙂 If you're interested in buying it, the only store I know of that carries it in the U.S. is Nordstrom, but there are probably others.
When I started developing an interest in makeup, one of the first makeup bloggers I discovered was Lisa Eldridge. She has a huge collection of vintage makeup! Here's a video where she shows off some of the vintage makeup in her collection. You can check out her entire YouTube channel here. She teaches a lot about the history of makeup and does interesting tutorials.
I asked for her book, Face Paint: The Story of Makeup, as a Christmas present, so I hope I get it! When I bought all of this Charlotte Tilbury makeup I immediately thought of Lisa, because she definitely inspires me to be more into the classic/glamorous looks and makeup packaging.
Here are some of the other pretty Charlotte Tilbury packages — all of which I hope to add to my collection if I ever decide to become an official makeup hoarder.
Here's one final shot of my latest haul before I go.
Seriously, it's so pretty!! What makeup brands are your favorite — even if only for the packaging? If you like the glamorous look, you may be interested in checking out my Retro-Glam Makeup Tutorial.
